General Summary

Lab equipment is routinely calibrated and checked for accuracy. The results of those calibrations are called factors, and those factors can be used in sample analyses. All calibrations are tracked by time and the user performing the calibration.

To work with calibrations, use the ~/Calibrations.aspx page available in the top navigation menu.

Working with Calibrations

In each equipment type, all the available equipment with the most recent calibration is shown.

Click the link in the equipment name to see the calibration history.

Adding a Calibration

Simply click the Add New Calibration button when viewing the appropriate equipment type.

Enter the factor, select the appropriate equipment, and add any necessary comments.

Once saved, the calibration will be selectable when using analyses that have a test tied to that given equipment.

Out Of Calibration Notification

The tracking of calibrations is handled at the equipment type level.
