Administration
The admin interface can be found at ~/LabAdmin/ParameterAdmin.aspx which is a link called Sample Information in the Lab Admin navigation menu.
General Summary
Sample information, also know as sample parameters, are non-test based data that are associated with a sample. They are sample type specific.
Name
This is the label that will appear in all DATS interfaces and reports.
Description
Long form information about the parameter, usually available via tooltip or footnote in DATS reports and interfaces.
Default Value
Numeric default value.
Default Text
If the parameter is text-based, this is the default value.
IsNumeric
Check this box to indicate text entry is preferred over numeric.
IsFilePath
This is for linking files uploaded to DATS to samples, which is a beta feature as of DATS v19.2.
Required
Always is attached to a sample when created.
Active
Retain sample information in old samples but do not associate to new samples.
