Working With Targets
- Target levels: There are three classes of target levels.
- External: the widest range and typically reflect the limits placed on a product by an external standards organization. Example: External High Blaine limit for Type II cement of 430 m2/kg.
- Market: inside the external limits and reflect the market/customer expectation for a product. An example is a Market Low Blaine limit of 350 m2/kg.
- Internal: the tightest target range. Used for process control. An example is an Internal Low Blaine limit of 375 m2/kg and an Internal High Blaine limit of 405 m2/kg.
- Target: what the value of an analysis should be driven to. Example is a Target Blaine of 390 m2/kg.
- Target violation tracking
- Target violations are tracked in an interface available to LabAdmins. They must be acknowledged. Example below:

- Violation notification: each level can be configured to notify a contact group. An email will be sent immediately upon a violation. Below is the interface for managing targets:
