Creating A New User

To create a new user in PlantFocus, navigate to Webadmin→UserAdmin  or navigate to the url ~/DOR/adminPages/UserAdmin.aspx

USING Active Directory Authentication:

1. Once the page has loaded, enter the Windows Username into the New AD Users textbox

2. Click the "New AD Users" button, and confirm it shows "Saved"


3. Click "Select User" next to the user just created. Once it appears click the "Edit User" buttong to modify Name, email etc

4. Click the "Save User" button to save updated information

5 Select Roles for user to be assigned to, you have to select a role and click "Add Role" for each role they are assigned to:


NOT USING Active Directory login:

1.Select new user in the top left of the main body

2. Here, you can enter the user's information.  Note that this page can be returned to after the user has been created to edit their information.




3. Once the information has been entered, click "save user".  After that, a new set of info will display containing public information (things that aren't passwords or pin codes)  here, roles are added one at a time by selecting from the drop down menu and selecting "add role".



Note that there is no save needed, the page automatically saves the information as you add/append/remove the roles.
